Privacy Policy

This policy explains how WebbStudios (“we,” “us,” or “our”) processes information when you use Panel Swap.

1. Who we are

Panel Swap is published by WebbStudios. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to Webb1003@outlook.com.

2. Information processed by Panel Swap

Age screen

The game asks for a birth month and year to decide whether to apply child-directed treatment. The entered month and year are used for that decision and are not stored. The game stores only the resulting age category on the device. If the screen is skipped or the age cannot be determined, child-safe treatment is applied by default.

Game and device storage

Panel Swap stores settings and progress on your device. This may include your approved-word player name, badge choice, profile level and experience, scores, wins, stage progress, audio and accessibility preferences, lives, and life-restoration times.

Online identity, matchmaking, and leaderboards

When you use online features, Unity Authentication creates or restores an anonymous player identifier and session credentials. Matchmaking and relay services process session and connection information needed to find an opponent and run a match. Your opponent may see your approved-word display name, profile level, and badge. Leaderboards may publicly display your approved-word display name together with scores, wins, stages, profile level, and badge information.

Advertising and technical information

Panel Swap uses Unity LevelPlay and participating ad networks to provide interstitial ads after eligible versus matches and optional rewarded ads that can refill lives. These providers may process device, advertising, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, network, diagnostic, and ad-interaction information to deliver, limit, measure, prevent fraud, and report on ads. The exact information depends on the device, region, consent choices, and ad network that serves an ad.

Purchases and Ad-Free access

Google Play processes purchases of permanent Ad-Free access. We do not receive your full payment-card details. The game and its service providers may receive and store the product identifier, purchase and restoration status, transaction or order identifiers, entitlement source, and limited fraud-prevention information. Unity Cloud Code and Cloud Save store permanent or time-limited Ad-Free entitlement records and one-use redemption-code claims for the anonymous Unity player account.

3. How information is used

We and our service providers use information to:

  • save settings, progress, scores, and timed lives;
  • authenticate players and provide matchmaking, relay, and leaderboards;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the game;
  • display, measure, and prevent fraud involving advertisements;
  • process, restore, secure, and support Ad-Free entitlements;
  • apply age-appropriate advertising and privacy settings; and
  • respond to support, safety, legal, and privacy requests.

Depending on where you live, these activities may rely on performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the game, consent where required, or compliance with legal obligations.

4. Children and mixed audiences

Panel Swap is designed for a mixed audience. The neutral age screen determines whether child-directed treatment applies. For players identified as children—and for players whose age is unknown—the game sends child-directed and device-identifier opt-out signals before advertising services initialize and requests contextual, family-appropriate ad treatment. We do not intentionally enable free-form chat or ask children to provide a real name, email address, or account password in the game.

A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information can contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

5. When information is shared

Information may be shared with:

  • Unity Technologies and its services, including Authentication, Cloud Code, Cloud Save, Leaderboards, Multiplayer Sessions, Relay, and LevelPlay;
  • Google Play for purchase processing, restoration, refunds, and fraud prevention;
  • ad networks participating in LevelPlay mediation;
  • vendors that help provide hosting, security, support, and diagnostics;
  • other players, only for the profile and gameplay information described above; and
  • authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, or defend legal rights.

Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy notices. See the Unity Privacy Policy and Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

6. Retention and deletion

Local settings and progress generally remain on the device until you reset the game, clear its storage, or uninstall it. Online player, leaderboard, session, entitlement, purchase-support, security, and advertising records are retained by us or our providers only as long as needed for the purposes described above, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and service security. Retention periods can differ by record type and provider.

Because online accounts are anonymous, we may need your Unity player identifier, display name, device details, or other verification information to locate a record. Some information may not be reasonably linkable to you, and some records may be retained where required or permitted by law.

7. Your choices and rights

You can change game preferences in Settings, avoid optional rewarded ads, and use operating-system privacy controls where available. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local game data, although it may not remove records held by online service providers.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a decision. To make a request, email Webb1003@outlook.com. You may also have the right to contact your local data-protection authority.

8. International processing and security

WebbStudios and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game, our service providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date above and provide additional notice in the game when appropriate.
